Travelling across the Balkans in a rental car is one of the best ways to explore the region — Croatia's coastline, Bosnia's mountains, Serbia's cities are all within easy reach. But what happens if something goes wrong on the road far from Montenegro?

We want to be completely transparent with you about what we can do and what falls outside our hands. Knowing this in advance makes every trip stress-free.

Our jurisdiction: Montenegro only

Faber Rent a Car is registered and operates exclusively in Montenegro. This means our direct roadside assistance, replacement vehicle service, and on-the-ground support are available only within Montenegrin borders.

What we can do if you're abroad

We're always reachable by phone or WhatsApp — call us at +382 69 910 111 and we'll guide you through every step.

We'll help coordinate with local services — we can help you find a nearby repair shop or towing company using your location.

We'll handle the insurance side — all our vehicles carry valid Green Card insurance covering Serbia, Croatia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina. We'll send you the relevant documents immediately.

We advise on next steps — depending on the situation, we'll tell you exactly what to do so nothing is missed.

What is outside our control abroad

Important: We cannot physically send a replacement car or a Faber technician to another country. Towing, repair costs, and accommodation in a foreign country are the responsibility of the renter, per our rental agreement. Keep your travel insurance details handy — they often cover exactly these situations.

Step-by-step: what to do in case of breakdown abroad

Stay safe first. Pull over, turn on hazard lights, place the warning triangle if available.

Call us immediately — +382 69 910 111 (WhatsApp available). Tell us your location and what happened.

Call local roadside assistance — in Croatia: 1987, in Serbia: 1800, in Bosnia: 1282.

Document everything — take photos of the car, the damage, and your location.

Do not sign anything without consulting us first.

Keep all receipts for towing, repairs, and accommodation — you may need them for your travel insurance claim.

Tip: Before crossing any border, take a photo of our contact card and save the roadside assistance numbers for the countries you plan to visit. A minute of preparation saves hours of stress.

Cross-border travel: what you need to know before you go

Inform us before crossing the border — it's required by our rental agreement.

Our vehicles include a Green Card (international insurance certificate) valid in neighbouring countries.

You'll need your passport, driving licence, and the rental agreement at border crossings.

Questions before your trip? Reach us any time at +382 69 910 111 or rentacarfaber@gmail.com. We're here to make your journey smooth — whatever road you take.

🚗🌍 Planning a road trip from Montenegro to another country? It’s freedom, scenic routes, and a real adventure… but it’s important to remember: anything can happen on the road.

📲 If any situation arises, contact us first. We’re always available and never leave our clients alone with a problem.

🙌 Even with a reliable car, no one is fully protected from breakdowns. It’s normal - the key is not to panic.

⚠️ If the car breaks down and you need a tow truck, always check reviews of the company taking your vehicle. Don’t agree to the first offer in a stressful moment - it can cost you a lot.

🇭🇷We had a real case: clients were traveling to Italy through Croatia.
They experienced a breakdown and, without checking, trusted a random company. As a result, they encountered scammers and lost both time and money.

🤝 Stay calm, verify information, and always keep in touch with us.

🚗✨ With Rent a Car FABER, you create your own journey. We’re with you at every step and always ready to support you. Freedom, comfort, and confidence on the road - all in your hands!

🚘 When you rent a car for a month, two, or longer, it gradually starts to feel like your own. You relax, stop noticing small messes - and at return, you might face unexpected deductions from your deposit.

To avoid that, follow a few simple rules👇

🚬 Smoking - the main trap
Even if the owner smokes, most contracts require returning the car without tobacco smell.
— Odor gets absorbed into the ceiling lining, seats, and plastic
— Ventilation won’t fix it - it requires deep cleaning and ozone treatment
💡 Open windows, or better - don’t smoke in the car at all.

🍟 Food & trash - a silent interior killer
Crumbs, spilled coffee, wrappers under seats - it’s not just messy:
— Attracts insects
— Can cause mold in humid conditions
— Leaves stains you may have to pay for
💡 Once a week: quick cleanup - remove trash, wipe surfaces, vacuum mats. 15 minutes makes a big difference.

🧼 Car wash - don’t forget the “face” of the car
Yes, it’s not your car. But returning it extremely dirty may result in cleaning fees.
— Washing it every 1–2 weeks is a good habit.

🐶 Traveling with pets
If you plan to bring a pet, inform in advance. Usually allowed, but:
— Interior must be free of fur and odors.

⚠️ Minor damage during long-term rentals
Parking scratches, falling branches, chips on the windshield - it happens.
— Don’t hide it! Reporting early often means cheaper and easier resolution

✅ Summary - 3 key rules:
1️⃣ Treat the car like it’s going back to its owner tomorrow
2️⃣ Take photos of the interior before return (just in case)
3️⃣ Communication is everything - report issues immediately.

Renting with Rent a Car FABER is easy and cost-effective - but respect for the car saves both your money and your peace of mind 🙌

📋 When a person rents a car from Rent a Car FABER, the contract always specifies the exact drivers who are allowed to operate the vehicle. This is done for safety, responsibility, and transparency of the rental.

❗️ However, sometimes the car is passed to friends, acquaintances, or other people. Many think:
“Nothing serious, they’ll just drive it for a while,” or even rent it out to someone else.

🚫 At that moment, the rental actually turns into sub-rental or transferring the car to third parties.

And then several important questions arise:
🔺 Who will be responsible for the car if something happens to it?
🔺 Who will be liable for fines, damages, or improper parking?
🔺 Why are people using the car who are not listed in the contract?

✔️ That’s why Rent a Car FABER has a simple rule:
• Only drivers listed in the contract may drive the vehicle
• The car must be returned personally by the renter and on time

🛡️ These conditions protect both the client and the company from unpleasant situations.

✨ We always try to make the rental process as simple and fast as possible. But respecting the contract is the foundation of trust.

🚘 So before handing a rented car to someone else, ask yourself a simple question:
Is it worth risking someone else’s car - and your own responsibility?

🚗 The car was parked. No one was around. You come back and notice damage on the body.
No note. No contact number.

Unfortunately, this happens more often than you might think - and no one is completely protected from it.

🚘 If you rented the car from Rent a Car FABER, you don’t have to deal with the situation alone.

✔️ We assist with the entire reporting process.
✔️ We advise you on how to properly document the incident.
✔️ We work directly with the insurance company.

❗️ Your task is simple: inform us about the incident immediately and follow our instructions. We’ll take care of the rest.

✨ We provide cars not only for convenience, but also with support in any unexpected situation.

Budva can surprise you with much more than its Old Town and popular beaches. If you’d like to experience the city on a deeper, more diverse level, add these locations to your route.

Milocer Park
A green oasis by the coast where pine trees and cypresses create pleasant shade even on hot days. Well-kept paths and panoramic sea views make it perfect for peaceful walks and atmospheric photos.

Jaz Beach
One of the most spacious beaches in the Budva area. More open space, less bustle - and especially beautiful at sunset, when the sun slowly dips below the horizon.

Podmaine Monastery
An ancient monastery located above the city. From here, you’ll enjoy impressive coastal views, while the grounds offer silence and a special atmosphere of seclusion.

Kamenovo Beach
A picturesque bay with crystal-clear water and rocky shores. Ideal for those seeking a quieter, more intimate escape away from the busy center.

Viewpoints above Budva
The road toward the mountains hides several breathtaking panoramic spots: red rooftops, the turquoise Adriatic, and rolling green hills merge into one perfect landscape.
